..."Bruukkkp"...
Azam put a cardboard instant noodle containing new clothes on the office dining table, where he worked.
"What's this?" tanya Bima, one of Azam's coworkers and Azam's neighbor in his hometown.
"Shirt," replied Azam flatly.
"That's a lot?"
"Make mother, father, brother, sister and all."
"Why not get packaged anyway? is the expedition still open?"
"Is it still possible before Eid?"
"It can be."
"Doubtful, I've brought it instead of not saying it's a matter."
"Ribet, why don't you buy all day?"
"Don't protest mulu Bim!"
"Hmmm..."
Azam took the card and sat back in his chair. Bima just scrunched his forehead while moving back as well. Azam and Bima are childhood friends to adulthood. They were also accepted to work in the same place. More precisely, Bima who first worked there then invited Azam when there was another job vacancy.
Today, there is nothing special other than all the workers preparing to welcome the long holiday of Eid. Everyone rejoiced, including Azam and Bima. The two of them returned to discuss when it would be to go home. They are neighbors in their hometown, Jepara.
"What on earth?" ask Bima.
"Tonight, Bim missed the big family."
"Then, until the boarding is ready!"
"okay."
Although he had agreed, Bima even overslept at the boarding until making Azam a little upset. Bima himself seemed unable to resist his sleepiness until he fell asleep and then dreamed. In his dream, Bima was approached by an old grandfather who had no wind, no rain, advising him even though they did not know each other.
"Don't leave tonight!" stop that grandpa.
"Why? whose grandpa?" ask Bima.
"Don't go now!"
"But why?"
Not yet got an answer, Bima woke up because Azam woke her.
"Wake woi! even sleep."
"Duh Zam. is not fit really wakeinnya."
"Why? your dirty dreams, huh?"
"No, I had a weird dream."
"What dream?"
"There's a grandfather who forbade me to go home tonight."
"Even, that dream is not clear. While not your grandfather, don't think about it!"
"Crazy! my grandfather died a long time ago."
"Eh, don't-don't come, it's your grandfather."
"Not that, her face is different."
"Your great-grandfather? your ancestor?"
"Azam!"
Azam chuckles.
"Anyways, Bim, your grandfather's spirit went inside.."
"It's over there, move away! I'm packing."
"Hemm, you fuck!"
"Yes-yes."
...🍂🍂🍂...
In the end, Bima ignored her dream and still left that night. After performing the Maghrib prayer, Bima and Azam left for the terminal. It didn't take long for them to find the bus on purpose. Luckily, the bus left even though the passengers were still loose.
"Beauty, steady!" azam.
"Yes, no need to wait long."
It was quiet but everything seemed normal. Of course, Bima and Azam responded fairly to the occupants' residence. They think the night trip must be exhausting. It seems also, the passengers are employees who immediately travel home after returning to work, so it is natural that if they choose to be silent and soon, may fall asleep. That is what Bima and Azam will do.
When Bima almost fell asleep, he saw there was a grandfather on the side of the road who was apparently so similar to the grandfather who had come to his dream. The grandfather just stood silently staring towards Bima. As a result, Bima quickly told Azam about the grandfather. Unfortunately, Azam could not see because the bus had sped past him.
"Can you?"
"Can what?" ask Azam.
"Grandfather who was in my dream was actually in the real world."
"You've seen Bim wrong."
"No, it was just a dream, before we left."
"Well, that's natural, a lot of people look alike."
"But not if it looks like everything. Up to his clothes and pants too."
"Emm."
A moment later, Bima rounded because he again saw the same grandfather on the side of the road. In fact, it was clearly passed by the bus earlier. Seeing this, Azam asked:
"Why you?"
Bima rubbed his eyes and looked at Azam in silence.
"You why Bim? don't scare me!"
"Zam.."
"Yes, what? why?"
"Grandfather who was in my dream at once that I had just seen, just appeared again on the side of the road."
"Ah ngaco you."
"Serius Zam, this is just starting to creep me out."
"You sleep, Bim!"
"Oh, look, there's more of him!" exclaim Bima while pointing to the bus window.
The curious Azam immediately saw her however, Azam saw nothing.
"You intentionally? intentionally freaking me out."
"No Zam, cook you don't see?"
"I don't see anything Bim."
"Huh?"
"Sit down, calm down and slow down! I can sleep."
Bima said but, just now he closed his eyes, immediately he shouted because, suddenly the figure of the grandfather he had just seen, appeared on the bus window, floating while tapping on the window glass. Azam panicked and asked immediately what happened? Bima got up and quickly moved away from the side of the window.
"What's up Bim? what's up?"
"That's Zam. Grandpa.."
"Huh? where's where?"
Surprisingly, Azam still could not see the figure of the grandfather that Bima saw. Even more strange, even though Bima had made such a fuss, not a single passenger turned his head towards them. As if they all heard nothing. A few moments later, Bima chose to sit in another chair. Azam followed him while holding out a bottle of mineral water.
"Why are you, Bim?"
"Grandfather is Zam's ghost. He can float in the bus window."
"Hemm. yeah-yeah I believe. Drink again until you calm down!"
Bima nodded and then again downed the mineral water that was, Azam gave it.
"Bim, I'm thinking about your dream. If indeed the grandfather appeared in your dream and asked you not to go home tonight, it means a warning. I also don't know about what will happen later but isn't that a good thing? so why, did he come to haunt you?" tanya Azam who quickly made Bima also think hard.
"True Zam, what does that mean?"
"Because both do not know, let's just say that he is just a nosy. No need to think about it anymore! we just have to sit sweet until we get to our hometown."
"Hemm. yes Zam."
"If you are still afraid, many will read the Bim prayer!"
Bima nodded, Azam let out a long sigh then turned his gaze back to the front before then closing his eyes. While Bima, ventured to look towards the window because of curiosity. Luckily, the figure of the grandfather who had been floating, had already disappeared. Bima can breathe freely and unconsciously, say hamdalah.
"Alhamdulillah."
